AbstractAbstract
[en] A ''temperature-neutron random process'' is formulated by means of a generating function technique. The model yields first and second moments of neutronic and thermal state variables through stochastic treatment of the neutron chain reaction, delayed neutrons and temperature feedback. Calculations are performed for reactivity-insertion accidents in thermal pressurized and fast reactors. Safety implications of fluctuations in the heat production are discussed. The importance of neutron diffusion as a restraining force on fluctuations is identified. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of the calculation on the equivalent noise charge (ENC) of a Cr-(RC)sup(n) prefilter into a gated integrator system including 1/f noise are given. The ENC becomes larger as the number of integrator n increases, which is in contrast to the time invariant system where the ENC becomes smaller as n increases. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental results. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The use of the SoMITE Facility to carry out metallurgical tests on stainless steel and other material specimens is described. The specimens were subjected to high frequency random temperature shocks, which were measured by co-axial thermocouples. The method of processing the signals and presenting the data obtained is described. The advantage of co-axial thermocouples compared with conventional thermocouples and their performance over a long operational period is discussed. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Electric circuits are given as well as the calculation of parameters of functional frequency converters of the levelling and substracting devices in which the accumulating condensor is a memory element. The effect of the ievelling process on the statistic measurement error is investigated. The temperature error of converters is 0.5-3% for 10 deg C, the dynamic range of converted frequencies is 102-104

AbstractAbstract
[en] We discuss the effects of thermal noise in underdamped Josephson junction series arrays that are globally coupled through a resistive load and driven by an rf current. We study the breakdown of the law of large numbers in the turbulent phase of the Josephson arrays. This corresponds to a saturation of the broad band noise S0 for a large number N of junctions. We find that this phenomenon is stable against thermal fluctuations below a critical temperature Tcl. The behaviour of S0 vs. T, for large N, shows three different regimes. For 0 < T <cl, S0 decreases when increasing T, and there is turbulence and the breakdown of the law of large numbers. For Tcl < T < Tc2, S0 is constant and the dynamics is dominated by the chaos of the individual junctions. Finally for T > Tc2, S0 in mainly due to thermal fluctuations, since it increases linearly with T. (author). 23 refs, 6 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Various kinds of noise (i.e., perturbations which hide a desired signal) are described. Thermal noise, shot noise, and 1/f noise are introduced. Evaluation of noise in relation to the useful signal is explained. Noise generators in a transistor; and noise measurement are treated
