[en] Event-triggered control has been recently proposed as an effective strategy for the consensus of multi-agent systems. We present an improved distributed event-triggered control scheme that remedies a shortcoming of some previous event-triggered control schemes in the literature. This improved distributed event-triggered method has no need for continuously monitoring each agent' neighbors. Moreover, each agent in the multi-agent systems will not exhibit the Zeno behavior. Numerical simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed consensus control. (general)
[en] A device for fast triggering based on parallel memory look up tables is described. It is designed to be used with three tracking detectors (hodoscopes) consisting of 32 elements. The device can analyze up to three coordinates in each hodoscope during the time no more than 160 ns. An integrated circuit K500PY415 as the memory element is used. The first part of the paper describes electronics and software for its testing. The second part describes the design of the hodoscopes, service software and look up table contents calculations and experimental results. 3 refs.; 8 figs.; 1 tab
[en] The COMPASS collaboration (COmmon Muon Proton Apparatus for Structure and Spectroscopy) studies the structure of the nucleon using a fixed target experiment located at the M2 beam line of the Super Proton Synchrotron at CERN. To access semi-inclusive events with a momentum transfer around 20 (GeV/c)2 at moderate values of the xBj scaling variable an adequate trigger system is needed. For future data taking programs, such as DVCS and Drell-Yan, a good coverage for large angle scattering is mandatory. Thus, during 2010 data taking with a transverse polarized target, the new Large Angle Spectrometer Trigger (LAST) was set up, consisting of a pair of hodoscopes exploiting target pointing. First results will be presented on the performance, efficiency and acceptance of this new trigger.
