AbstractAbstract
[en] Laser driven shock waves counter-propagating through foam targets have been recorded by time-resolved soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy. Different stages of the shocks' collision were observed. Density and temperature profiles were inferred from the X-ray transmission. 1-D and 2-D hydro-codes were used to reproduce the observed dynamics. (authors)
