Description

The following neutron flux characteristics are relevant for use in single comparator methods (e.g. k0) of activation analysis with reactor neutrons (NAA) : (1) the thermal-to-epithermal flux ratio (f = φth/φ0), (2) the parameter α in the 1/E1+α epithermal spectrum representation and, (3) flux variability during irradiation. These characteristics were determined in a few typical irradiation positions of the TRIGA Mark II reactor, Ljubljana, Yugoslavia, as part of a programme to introduce the k0-method of NAA at the 'J. Stefan' Institute. (author)
