AbstractAbstract
[en] The principal technological consequences of irradiation-induced void swelling and creep in the materials already chosen or being considered for core component applications, particularly the fuel element subassembly wrapper or duct, in sodium-cooled fast reactors are summarized. The current understanding of the mechanisms of the phenomena is briefly described and the influences of irradiation and materials parameters in determining the magnitudes of the void swelling and irradiation creep are reviewed.
