AbstractAbstract
[en] In a previous note, volume changes in experimental UO2 fuel irradiated with a coolant pressure of 1 MPa were reported. Here results are presented from commercial UO2 fuel irradiated in the Pickering CANDU-PHW station. Volume changes (ΔV/V) were obtained as a function of fractional fuel radius and temperature, and correlated with microstructures observed by electron microscopy. Measured volume changes were compared with those predicted by a swelling model incorporated into the ELESIM fuel performance code. (Auth.)
