AbstractAbstract
[en] The possibility of determining spent fuel burnup due to the production of transuranium fission products and using dielectric track fission foil detectors has been investigated. Prompt neutrons of the transuranium isotope spontaneous fission were detected using thorium, natural uranium and highly (100%) enriched uranium neutron converters. The efficiency of the neutron detection was measured in the air and water. Irradiation time of the detectors with different converters has been obtained that is necessary to determine burnup of BWR type reactor spent fuels. The detectors with enriched uranium converters have been found to be of the practical value
