AbstractAbstract
[en] To study the mechanism of inelastic scatteing of 3He ions by 12C nuclei, differential cross sections of excitation of the state 2+; 4.43 MeV have been measured at ion energies of 18, 20, and 24.5 MeV. An analysis of the results obtained has revealed that neither the dist distorted wave method nor the coupled channel approach may provide a fairly good agreement between the calculated and observed data in the 3He ion energy range involved. The mechanism of the 2+ state excitation seems to differ from the collective one, and there may be considerable contributions of other mechanims not taken into account by the theory (e.g., cluster substitution, nucleon exchange, compound-system decay)
