AbstractAbstract
[en] The qualitative and quantitative descriptions of the (pd) pickup reactions on light nuclei are compared within the framework of the modified distorted wave method (DWM) and the peripheral model (PM). Deuteron angular distributions have been obtained for proton energies of 16.7 and 17.7 MeV. The optical potential parameters used in calculations of the distorted wave functions and scattering phases have been determined from the conditions of the best possible agreement between the calculated and experimental elastic scattering differential cross sections. The differential cross sections of the following reactions have been obtained: 7Li(pd)6Li; 9Be(pd)8Be; 10B(pd)9B; 11B(pd)10B; 13C(pd)12C; 14N(pd)13N (the ground state); and 19F(pd)18F. Vertex constants are given which have been obtained by analyzing the pd-reactions by means of the PM and DWM. It is concluded that the modified PM and DWM yield both the same spectrometric information and similar angular distributions
