AbstractAbstract
[en] Infrared spectra of Mg(OH)2, Ca(OH)2, Ni(OH)2, Co(OH)2, Fe(OH)2, Mn(OH)2, Cd(OH)2, La(OH)3, Ce(OH)3, Pr(OH)3 in the region of OH valence oscillations were investigated. Comparison of the obtained frequencies with the spectra of an oxide hydroxyl cover and OH-groups of synthetic talcs demonstrates that the frequency of the vacant OH-group is determined by the nature of the metal atoms bonded with it and by the number of these atoms and slightly depends on the position of OH-group on the surface of an oxide or in inbulk of a crystal. This conclusion was used for more presise definition of the OH-groups surface spectra interpretation for ZnO, NiO, CoO, MnO. The frequencies of nonassociated OH-groups bonded with different metal atoms are tabulated
