AbstractAbstract
[en] Studied are the specific features of fragmentation of the radicals of 1.2-propanediol, 2.3-butanediol, 1.2-dimethoxyethane, and some 1.3-dioxolanes generated by γ irradiation of diluted aqueous solutions. As a source of γ radiation 137Cs has been used; the absorbed dose rate is 4.1015 eV/(mlxs); the range of the doses used is 1.5x1019-1.5x1020 eV/ml. The method of gas-liquid chromatography has been used for studying the composition of the radiolysis products. The possibility of fragmentation of the radicals by the coordinated mechanism is shown
