AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of 2-, 5- and 10% Cr and Mo content on the wear resistance and structural changes of the iron-graphite alloys is considered. The wear resistance of the materials alloyed with Mo is higher than that of the materials alloyed with Cr. Their ultimate load during tests in kerosene is as high as 100 kg/cm2, as compared to 30 kg/cm2 for the Cr-containing alloys. Higher wear resistance of the steels alloyed with Mo is associated with the formation of a more homogeneous structure with fine wear-resistant carbides in the course of sintering and with an intensive γ-α-phase transformation taking place during friction
