[en] The filtrative-capacity characteristics of reservoirs for effusion sediments at the Muradkhandla oil deposits are described. On this basis the techniques were developed to distinguish water bearing and oil-gas bearing reserviors. One of them is based on the comparison between the relative electrical resistance of the bed and the double difference parameter of the neutron gamma logging; the other one is based on the comparison between values of porosity, determined from acoustic, neutron and lateral micrologging data and volume water saturation which is determined via the specific resistance. In both procedures the impact of compact rocks contained in the collecting bed is taken in account
