AbstractAbstract
[en] Calibrated thermoluminescent dosimeters of LiF were utilized to map the radiation flux 0.5m beneath the surface of a thorium-rare-earth elements deposit in southern Venezuela. The isorad map obtained from measurements of the thermoluminescence induced in the buried dosimeters during their eight-month exposure period at the site, agrees well with the mapped thorium concentration at the surface of the deposit. The results indicate that thermoluminescence radiation dosimetry can be used for radiometric prospecting
