AbstractAbstract
[en] Influence of a radiosensitizing preparation, 8-bromocaffeine, on the repair of single-strand breaks in DNA of X-irradiated (5000 rad) LL cells has been studied. By the use of the two methods (sedimentation in the alkaline sucrose gradient and fractionation of single- and double-strand fragments of DNA on the column with hydroxyapatite) the fact that the post-irradiation repair of DNA single-strand breaks takes place in LL cells has been proved. 8-bromocaffeine added to the culture medium immediately after irradiation inhibits substantially the process of repair of DNA single-strand breaks
