AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper emphasizes the computational aspects of combined analytical-experimental investigations concerning dynamic elastoplastic deformation of a single fuel subassembly under transverse pressure loading. To simulate the situation within a fast reactor core during a postulated local vapor explosion the cushioning effect of the thin sodium layers between subassemblies has to be included. Therefore a new computer code CORTRAN was developed which combines both a one-dimensional axial squeeze flow model as well as a variable cross-section Timoshenko beam model. The ensuing program structure of the code is described. (Auth.)
