AbstractAbstract
[en] The influence of a static electric field on the oscillations of a one-dimensional stream of electrons is investigated. In the weak-field limit the oscillations are adiabatic and mode coupling is negligible but becomes significant if the field is stronger. The latter effect is believed to be of importance for the stability of, e.g., potential double layers. (author)
