AbstractAbstract
[en] Monthly mean values of the projected areas of Ca-plages have been compared with those of sunspots, faculae and lambda 10.7 cm. solar flux. Their mutual phase relationship and their changes during the maximum and minimum periods of the solar activity have been obtained. The correlation coefficient between Ca-plage areas and sunspot monthly mean areas, 0.84, is lower than that of 0.95 obtained from yearly value (Kuriyan 1967), due to monthly fluctuations. The phase lag of Ca-plage area variations with respect to those of other three indices show +0.5, -0.4 and +0.2 of a month. The nature of the Ca-plage activity drift pattern through the solar latitudes with the advancement of the solar cycle has been studied using the latitude distribution of the monthly values of the projected areas of Ca-plage in 50 latitude belts.
