AbstractAbstract
[en] Extraction of molybdenum and tungsten with hexyldiantipyrylmethane (HDAM) has been studied. Extraction out from sulphate, nitrate, and chloride solutions containing 0.025 g-ion/1 Mo(6) or 0.0125 g-ion/1 W(6) has been performed with 0.125 M solution of HDAM in chloroform. Out from weakly acid solution a compound is extracted with a ratio of HDAM:Mo or W exceeding 1:2; out from 8 N solution of HCl the HDAM:Mo ratio is 1:1. The effect of foreign elements on molybdenum extraction from sulphuric acid solutions has been studied. Extraction of Mo(6) is hindered by Cr(6), V(5), Mn(7), Re(7). Similar data are obtained for tungsten. The method proposed is highly selective for separating and determining Mo(6) and W(6)
