AbstractAbstract
[en] The peculiarities of design and technology of production of atomic batteries of the microwatt power range, based on 147Pm with silicon phototransducers are considered. The principle of battery operation is based on the separation by the field of p-n-transition of the minority carriers that are formed in the semiconductor when it is exposed to β-radiation. During the testing of experimental atomic batteries the current-voltage characteristics and the stability of the output parameters are determined depending on the time of operation. It is demonstrated that the variations of the output battery characteristics are determined mainly by the half-life of 147Pm. The service life of the batteries can be increased by the initial increasing of the amount of the isotope used
