AbstractAbstract
[en] The possibilities of measuring the concentration of the main elements in two-component powder-like media and solutions on the basis of spectral-angular characteristics of reflected bremsstrahlung are investigated. To this end, the experimental studies of the energy and angular distributions of bremsstrahlung gamma-ray quanta with the maximal energy of 14 MeV, scattered by standardized samples of copper ore and solutions (of iodine in alcohol and sodium chloride in water with various concentration of the main elements) are conducted. The sensitivity and the accuracy of measurement are analyzed. It is established tha the measurement of the main elements concentration in powder-like media and solutions is possible through measurement of the intensity of the back-scattered radiation in the energy range from 0.1 to 0. 55 MeV. It is demonstrated that the above method can be applied for non-contact control of technological processes in industry that makes use of dry spins, suspensions and solutions, and also in geological prospecting, in mining and concentration enterprises
