AbstractAbstract
[en] To simplify the design and to lower the inductance of a magnetic lens, a simple and original design of a multipole pulse magnetic lens is suggested. The lens enables to shape a steep current front in the accelerator magnetic system. The magnetic lens comprises bar windings, magnetic circuit, and a current lead made of two coaxial cylinders enclosing the magnetic circuit over the entire length of the lens. The diametrically opposite winding bars are connected with the inner cylinder by means of short jumpers, and with the outer cylinder by means of long jumpers. The proposed design exhibits the following advantages: minimum inductance of the current lead and magnetic system, non-distorted field at fall ends of the magnetic system, screening of the magnetic lens working volume from external fields by means of coaxial electrodes, and the absence of dielectric materials
