AbstractAbstract
[en] Preliminary data are presented on the molecular potential calculations for the Cs+ ion. At large internuclear separation, R, the interaction between two Cs+ ions is basically Coulomb repulsion, e2/R. As R decreases, the interaction potential rises faster (i.e., becomes more repulsive) than the Coulomb potential. According to calculations based on a pseudo-potential method, the interaction potential becomes very repulsive at R approximately equal to 4a0, where a0 is the Bohr radius
