AbstractAbstract
[en] The non-relativistic asymptotic forms of the differential cross sections for both non-radiative and radiative electron capture to the continuum from a hydrogen-like atom by a bare nucleus with a very high incident velocity are presented. It is shown that radiative capture to the continuum dominates over non-radiative capture for impact energies above about 13 MeV per nucleon for a bare nucleus incident on a hydrogen atom. (author)
