[en] The history and program of Soviet-French cooperation in the field of gamma astronomy is considered. The main problems of gamma-astronomic observations are detection and investigation of diffuse background X and gamma radiations with energies in the range of 20 keV - 10 MeV, search and investigation of discrete sources of X and gamma radiations with energies up to 1-2 MeV and, finally, detection of gamma bursts of cosmic origin. The long-standing cooperation between specialists of the two countries in the field of gamma-astronomy has already yielded substantial results and is developing successfully
