AbstractAbstract
[en] A formalism using the concept of surface probabilities Wsub(L) of α-particle production is developed to analyze the data on α decay of even-even nuclei taking into account strong coupling of channels. It is shown that consideration of the coupling of channels in the Bohr-Mottelson model essentially decreases the quantities Wsub(L) when going from spherical (N approximately 130) to deformed (N > 138) nuclei and puts into consistence the values of Wsub(o) for spherical nuclei with N(<=) 118 and for deformed nuclei with N > 138. Troubles of traditional R-matrix way of matching the internal and external wave functions of α-decaying system are discussed
