AbstractAbstract
[en] A simplified diagram is given of the fluoride reprocessing of irradiated nuclear fuel from fast reactors. Hitherto unknown mixed fluorides of niobium and tungsten of the MNbF6 and M2WF8 type (M is an alkali metal) are described. These compounds result from the reaction of MF with Nb and W fluoride vapours. MNbF6 compounds decompose at temperatures in the region of 350 to 500 degC. CsWF7 decomposes at temperatures above 100 degC under formation of WF6 and CsWF8. (M.K.)
