AbstractAbstract
[en] The effect of heat treatment regimes on the quality of deformed material was studied with the aim to establish the causes for the low level and instability of the mechanical properties of the semiproducts from the titanium alloy VT22. It is shown that the abrupt drop in plasticity during heating occurs at temperatures from 500 to 550 deg C. Heating up to 850 deg C is not accompanied by grain growth and may be used to eliminate the embrittling hardening. A stepwise regime for heat treatment of semiproducts with successive soakings at temperatures of 850, 750 and 500-600 deg C is proposed; it ensures sufficiently high and stable mechanical properties: ultimate strength of over 110 kgf/mm2 on elongation of over 8%
