[en] Different periods of the presowing gamma-irradiation of seeds of agricultural crops have been considered. The theore--tical prerequisits and the data on practical introduction of this agricultural method at the farms of various regions of the country have been given. The tests performed lately in BSSR on a number of agricultural crops also confirm the availability of the radiation stimulation effect. Radiation treatment of seeds of flax, barley, rye, lupine and potato tubers allows a gain in crops on an average by 10 - 15%. The results of industrial tests and an introduction of the method into the agricultural practice of BSSR have been presented. An economic estimation of the results obtained on presowing irradiation of the flax seeds has been given
