[en] A heat exchanger is described featuring the superheater heat transfer surface in a common pressure vessel welded on the primary side to the main afterheating and evaporation surface of the heat exchanger while on the secondary side the heat transfer surface is placed in the direction of steam flow above the boiling water level after the mechanical moisture separators. The steam superheater is adapted to the cross flow of steam around the tube bundle. The pressure loss in the superheater on the secondary side is considerably reduced, which accounts for a remarkable increase in equipment efficiency. (J.B.)
