AbstractAbstract
[en] The aim of the review is to introduce and briefly explain some of the applications to general relativity of motion techniques of differential geometry in function space. First a short account of the mathematic generalities is given; then the techniques are applied to a dynamical formulation of general relativity and great emphasis is put on the space-invariance of the formulation by shortly describing an alterative approach to the formulation itself. Finally a very short account is given of some of the most recent and fruitful applications that these methods had in solving important problems for general relativity
