[en] The system of a finite superconductor S1 in proximity with a weaker superconductor, S2, is considered. The order parameter is assumed to vary in space as Δ1 cos[q (z-D)] (0 < or = z < or = D) in S1, and as Δ2 cosh[K (z + L)] (-L < or = z < or = 0) in S2. The Bogoliubov-deGennes equations were solved for the two regions: z < 0. The transition temperature T/sub c/ vs of the system is evaluated for the case where S2 is a thick normal layer. The dependence of T/sub c/ NS on the thickness D is in agreement with experimental results
