[en] Brown et al. (Solid State Commun.; 23:875(1977)) have reported that Nb3Ge specimens showing superconducting transition temperatures less than the maximum possible value contain a 'quasi-amorphous phase'. The possibility is discussed that the lower values of Tsub(c) of these specimens may be accounted for by the proximity effect due to these quasi-amorphous regions. (author)
