AbstractAbstract
[en] The ductility of AISI 316 stainless steel was studied in creep between 600 and 8000C. There appears to be a transition in the behaviour of the material. This transition results from the action of the mechanism of fracture and is not limited to features related to ductility. It is also apparent in the relationship between minimum creep rate and applied stress. A theory of the origin of the fenomen is proposed, based on the thermo-mechanical history of the material

As caracteristicas de ductilidade do aco inoxidavel AISI 316 sao estudadas em regime de fluencia entre 600 e 8000C. Aparentemente ocorre transicao no comportamento do material. Esta transicao decorre da acao do mecanismo de fratura e nao se limita a aspectos relativos a ductilidade. Ela e assinalada igualmente no expoente de sensibilidade de taxa minima de fluencia a tensao aplicada.
