AbstractAbstract
[en] Unscheduled DNA synthesis was investigated in peripheral lymphocytes of SLE and RA patients to demonstrate a possible relation ship between the production of DNA antibodies and educed DNA repair capacity. After irradiation with 60 krad 60Co or 7500 erg/mm2 UV respectively, the incorporation of 3H-TdR in presence of hydroxyurea was tested by autoradiography. New Zealand White and New Zealand Black Mice which produce simular immunological phenomena, were tested for comparison. Likewise paralles between RA anda mycoplasma-induced arthritis could be demonstrated. The percentage of labelled cells in the lymphocyte population and the average grein number per cell were calculated. (author)
