AbstractAbstract
[en] Preliminary results of investigations of the hard (> 10 MeV) part of β spectrum fragments of spontaneous 252Cf fission are presented. Possible background sources in the measurements with a scintillation counter are discussed. The counter construction and criterions for event selection are described. Calibration measurements with different β-sources are taken, and instrument characteristics are determined. It is shown that when the 252Cf source intensity is 5x104 fission/s, the number of β-particles with the energy of Esub(β) > 13 MeV does not surpass 10-6 for one fission
