AbstractAbstract
[en] A method for pulsed neutron logging is described; it consists in irradiation of rocks in boreholes with fast neutron pulses with subsequent detection of the drop in the radiation fluxes of thermal and epithermal neutrons and gamma-quanta. The method is distinguished by the fact that the decreasing radiation flux is detected by regulating the efficiency of the detecting system to extend the measuring range in carrying out the neutron logging. Neutron logging is conducted simultaneously and with an identical probe length, for this purpose the neutron and gamma-quantum detectors are arranged in parallel so that their midsections are aligned
