AbstractAbstract
[en] A shortcoming of the known high-voltage generator-rectifier, placed in tight housing, is its cumbersome sizes and a large number of high-voltage gaps along the vertical axis of the generator. The invention is aimed at decreasing the generator sizes, and increasing its reliability. The aim is achieved at the expense of rectifying units and high-voltage phase windings placing on bearing plates and their attachment to the housing bottom by bearing insulators. Screened high-voltage chamber is placed above the upper screen of high-voltage winding, which is its common point, and the chamber is attached on the upper outputs of the three rectifying units. Such generator construction permits to decrease generator sizes considerably and to increase its reliability at the expense of the number of high-voltage gaps along the longitudinal axis of the generator
