AbstractAbstract
[en] Key results relating to emergency core cooling (ECC) behavior during the LOFT nonnuclear tests are discussed. LOFT test results are compared with results from counterpart experiments performed in the Semiscale facility to evaluate the scaling. Experimental results are also compared with pretest analytical model predictions made with the RELAP/MOD5 computer code to evaluate the capability of the analytical model. System response during the decompression, the ''hot-wall'' effect, ECC bypass, ECC induced oscillations and Test L1-5 core response are discussed in some detail
