[en] A method of separating steam and water is described comprising passing the steam and water mixture into at least one centrifugal separator to effect a first separation, passing the separated steam into a vapour space and then around an imperforate baffle so that the separated steam passes through a scrubber assembly to effect a second separation, and passing the separated steam leaving the scrubber assembly through a perforated baffle, the imperforate baffle and the perforations in the perforated baffle being such as to produce a uniform velocity distribution of the steam entering the scrubber assembly.
