[en] This critical review discusses the solidification of intermediate and low-level radioactive wastes. Feasibility studies of the incorporation of radioactive wastes from nuclear power plants into concrete has been done especially considering Finnish conditions. Many different types of cements and admixtures have been studied. The reported results in the literature have been somewhat conflicting and because of that the authors proposed research activities in analysing the properties of different types of cements. (M.S.)
