AbstractAbstract
[en] A new estimate of the stellar halo mass of the Galaxy is given. The total mass of all spheroidal populations (halo and bulge) has been derived. To carry out numerical calculations the values of the distance of the Sun from the galactic centre is fixed Rsub(0) = 8.5 kpc and of the circular velocity near the Sun vsub(0)=225 km s-1. Using the virial theorem radial velocity dispersions are calculated. The mean observed velocity dispersion of halo population objects lies in the interval of 90-120 km s-1
