AbstractAbstract
[en] Recent observations of long-period Cepheids are used to delineate the spiral structure between lapprox.2940 and 3310. The galactic distribution of these stars is compared with similar information for OB associations, young clusters, and HI. The Cepheids indicate that a distant (approx.4 kpc) spiral feature is seen near lapprox.3070, and the region of the Centaurus link is not populated by these young stars. From comparison of velocity information, the HI and young stars all share similar kinematics in this region of the Milky Way. In addition, these tracers indicate systematic deviations from the Schmidt model of galactic rotation, particularly near lapprox.3070. A model for a ''Centaurus Spur'' feature is proposed from combined stellar and gaseous information
