AbstractAbstract
[en] A classification of available models is proposed and a new model is formulated to describe the fusion process of heavy ions. The model predicts three conditions in the energy behaviour of the fusion cross sections. The calculation results are compared with experiment. Fusion of very heavy nuclei is specially discussed. Differences in the product yields from the 84Kr + 186W and 40Ar + 238U reactions leading to close compound systems are explained without ''l-window'' hypothesis
