AbstractAbstract
[en] This report documents the activities of decommissioning Peach Bottom 1, the first high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) to operate in the United States. The report also presents the status of systems in the reactor facility; it will be a resource for the facility until such time as dismantlement and disposal of the remaining systems is carried out. A portion of this report covers the radiological conditions encountered and their impact on work progress. However, one of the principal observations during the progress of the decommissioning was that the plant was relatively uncontaminated compared with a pressurized water reactor or a boiling water reactor.
