AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the pulsed tandem facilities of the ZfK Rossendorf, time-of-flight spectra of scattered neutrons were measured. 93Nb and natural In have been investigated for incidence energies of 6.8, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, and 12.0 MeV, respectively. A multi detector system was employed. Due to simultaneous measurement of the scattering spectra and of the spectrum of the neutron source the determination of absolute cross sections of elastic neutron scattering was possible. The elastic cross section evaluation of 93Nb by Hermsdorf is in keeping with our results. The results obtained confirm the reliability of the nuclear data evaluation by Hermsdorf of elastic neutron scattering by 93Nb. The optical potentials of Nb and In found by Holmqvist and Wiedling for 8.05 MeV are valid in good approximation in the full energy range investigated. (author)
