AbstractAbstract
[en] The laboratory mouse, the white-footed mouse (Peromyscus), and beagles were exposed to low doses of ionizing radiation for studies on dose-response relationships. End points such as life shortening by various causes, particularly cancer, and the physical and biological factors affecting these responses were investigated. Studies on late radiation effects on the cardiovascular system emphasized functional deterioration assessed by clearance of inected 133Xe as an indicator of capillary blood flow and by blood pressure measurements, and histopathological changes in the subcutaneous microvasculature in the heart, aorta, and kidney
