AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental results in the rewetting by bottom flooding in AISI 304 tubular (10 mm OD, 8 mm ID) and annular (19 11 OD, 10 mm ID) electrically heated test sections are presented. Quenching temperature and rewetting velocity are measured at constant flow rate (from 5 to 80 g/s), constant linear power (from 0.8 to 2.5 kW/m) and inlet water subcooling ranging from 10 to 800C. The initial wall temperature range is from 600 to 8000C. The parametric reffects of flow rate, inlet subcooling and initial wall temperatures on the quenching temperature and rewetting velocity are studied. The quenching temperature and rewetting velocity measurements are compared with theoretical correlations. (author)
