AbstractAbstract
[en] This Code of Practice is a compilation of nuclear safety principles aimed at defining minimum requirements for structures, systems and components important to safety in nuclear power plants embodying thermal neutron reactors, with emphasis on what safety requirements shall be met rather than specifying how these requirements can be met. The Code of Practice describes design requirements for structures, systems and components that shall be met in order to prevent or mitigate the consequences of events, considered credible, which could jeopardize safety. The Code of Practice does not deal with non-radiological effects of the nuclear power plant on the environment. It should be recognized that these requirements will continue to evolve and will be subject to revision in the light of future experience
