[en] This report presents the preliminary results of the geochemical sampling in the Sandpoint 1⁰ x 2⁰ quadrangle of the National Topographic Map Series (NTMS). From July to October 1977, 1700 wet- and dry-stream sediment samples and water samples were collected from rivers and streams from the 16,800-km² project area. During August and September 1977, 300 ground water samples were collected from wells and springs. Laboratory and field analyses for uranium, trace metals, and other constituents are presented in hardcopy and microfiche format. The report includes full-size overlays for use with the Sandpoint NTMS 1:250,000 quadrangle. Water sites, water-sample uranium concentrations, water sample conductivity values sediment sites and sediment-sample uranium and thorium concentrations are shown on separate overlays. Histograms and cumulative frequency plots of uranium and thorium values are presented for water and sediment samples and geology, hydrology, and known uranium occurrences are described
